Led by musician and producer Leon Michels, El Michels Affair is a New York-based band and recording project known for its instrumental arrangements and blend of soul, funk, and cinematic influences. Its releases include the albums Sounding Out the City and Yeti Season. The group's work has also included reinterpretations of music by other artists, reflecting its interest in vintage-inspired grooves and richly arranged ensemble performances.
Leon Bridges brings a modern soul sound shaped by classic R&B, while Brazilian singer Mari Froes adds another musical perspective to the bill. Together, the lineup offers a varied evening for listeners drawn to expressive vocals, live instrumentation, and soulful arrangements. Specific set times, tour details, and opening-act designations have not been provided.
Prices currently start around $120 for this major concert, with costs varying by seat location, availability, and demand. Madison Square Garden's location above Penn Station places the show in the heart of Midtown, with train and subway connections close by and plenty of nearby dining options for concertgoers.
Venue and Seating Information
Madison Square Garden has a circular, multi-level seating bowl with Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level sections. For concerts, lower-bowl side seats near the center of the stage are often a strong choice, balancing proximity with a clear view. Select central sections on the 200 Level can also provide an elevated perspective of the full stage.
Floor seats are closest to the performance, though the view may depend on the stage setup and standing crowds. The 300 Level is the most distant tier and may suit budget-conscious fans; seats behind the stage or in extreme upper corners can have limited views depending on production arrangements. Check the event's seating map before choosing tickets.
Parking Information
On-site parking is very limited around the arena, so visitors commonly use commercial garages or public transportation. Garage rates can change with event demand; nearby options may cost more and fill quickly.
- Nearby commercial garages: Garages around Penn Station and 8th Avenue are typically a short walk from the venue. Event parking may run approximately $30–$80 or more, depending on demand.
- Farther garages: Options toward Herald Square or Chelsea are generally a 10–15-minute walk and may cost around $20–$50.
- Street parking: Metered spaces are limited, and restrictions and enforcement make street parking an unreliable event-day plan.
Arriving without a parking plan during a busy event can mean higher rates or full garages. Public transit is especially convenient because Penn Station is directly beneath Madison Square Garden.
